Newry man Barry Gray, who set up the business in 2005 with fellow Director Colin Dalton, said, “Our team worked throughout lockdown as we were focused on delivering projects for our clients.
“We strongly feel the outlook for the construction industry remains very positive.
“We have been exceptionally busy during 2020 as businesses continue to invest,” he adds.
Some of Gray Design’s recently completed commissions include the new KFC Restaurant and Drive-Thru at the Gateway site beside the Boulevard Outlet Park.
“This is one of series of projects we have been involved with at the Banbridge complex over several years,” Barry explains.
“Gray Design has a long-standing relationship with the Lotus Group, who manage the Boulevard Complex.”
The partnership extends to another significant retail and leisure destination centre, The Junction, situated close to Antrim Town Centre which is also owned by the Lotus Group.
As part of a £30m redevelopment, Gray Design has worked with global brands including McDonald’s, Nando’s and Starbucks.
A new Modern Tyres Depot in Dargan Crescent, Belfast was also handed over during the summer.
The impressive facility includes an eight-bay workshop and office space.
Newry man Barry Gray, who is well known in football circles as the current manager of Warrenpoint Town in the Irish Premiership, adds, “In particular, within retail and leisure, there is a growing need to deliver an exceptional visitor experience to attract consumers.
“An inspiring design can really help, and we work closely with clients to achieve their vision,” he says.
“This includes cleaver use of both indoor and outdoor space,” Barry adds.
Focussed on detail
Director Colin Dalton commented, “Over the last 15 years, we have been very fortunate in the people we employ are very focused on detail.
“We take the time to understand our client’s needs from the initial brief to the feasibility study before our team create innovative design concepts.
“We place a high value on our relationships,” he insists.
“We get positive feedback about having one point of contact and our flexible approach.”
Gray Design has gained a reputation for delivering high-quality work across various sectors such as Commercial, Industrial, Bespoke Homes, Residential Development, Leisure and Interior Design.
